If you are caring and need support
You do not need to have everything organised before contacting us.
If pressure is building, begin with a conversation.

We do not assume our work is effective. We check.
Where appropriate, we use recognised measures such as the Short Warwick–Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (SWEMWBS) to understand whether carers feel more steady and less overwhelmed over time.
We also look at practical realities. Has a benefit been secured? Has paperwork been untangled? Is care coordination clearer? Has pressure reduced before reaching breaking point?
We ask ourselves difficult questions. Did we step in early enough? Did we reduce pressure or simply move it? Are we still close to the realities carers face?
Carers carry enough. Our responsibility is to ensure that the support we provide is timely, proportionate, and genuinely helpful.
